The Yoke of Pot

People who do not know me personally recently asked for my opinion on the legalization of pot. I gave up smoking pot in 1976. I gave up all mood altering substances in 1985. I think there should be no criminal laws for those who abuse. They need help. I do think mega drug dealing is a crime against life be it Air Force airlifted opium from Afghanistan or growing cocaine in Columbia and using human mules to move it. I think the war on drugs was a fixed failure of a policy/program to affect corporate intrusion, imperialistic control, and the buying off of Latin America leadership. I also think if Americans want to continue to numb dumb themselves with pills, pot, and a pervasive more is never enough m.o., the dismissal of the Bill of Rights will move along swiftly and mostly unnoticed. If you think getting high for one single instance is revolutionary or hip or cool or enhances your world view you also cannot feel the yoke around your neck or the chains around your heart.
